- In 2016, Yes You Can! (YYC!) partnered with a world-class research facility, KGK Clinical Trial Centers, to conduct a two-city 12-week clinical study.
- The main objective was to study the change in body weight in overweight and mildly obese adults with minimal physical activity between participants in the Yes You Can! meal replacement system (YYC! Nutritional Supplements were not a part of this study) vs participants on the Modified American Heart Association (MAHA) diet.
The results presented by Nicole Craven, M.D. and Gez Agolli, MD, DrPh, PSc.D, the clinic’s researchers who conducted the study, found that all participants who completed the study on the YYC! meal replacement plan (YYC! Nutritional Supplements were not a part of this study) lost significant body weight in 28 days vs. MAHA diet.
In addition, the following results were experienced by study participants:
- YYC! meal replacement enabled participants who were on average categorized as mildly obese, to be categorized as overweight after a month of following the YYC! meal replacement plan.
- This decrease in BMI was sustained at day 56 and day 85. In comparison, participants in the MAHA Diet showed no change in their BMI status.
- Participants who adopted the MAHA Diet took at least 2 months to show any significant decrease in body weight.
