Shaty and Alejandro

Being overweight created distance between them

We are Shaty and Alejandro, we are from Guatemala and live in Los Angeles. I met my wife in Guatemala, I stole a kiss and conquered her. We got married and moved to the United States. We have two beautiful children. As immigrants, it was our turn to work hard and a lot. We spent many hours away from home and we had to resort to mainly eat “fast” food. We ordered huge burgers, French fries and sodas. We ordered our food the same as our clothing size – extra-large! We didn't realize how much weight we had gained. I was too fat. I was embarrassed for Alejandro touched me. The size of our bodies and our insecurities began to distance us. I heard of Yes You Can! And I decided to try it and to my surprise, Alejandro too. We began to go together to the market, to cook together and to exercise as a family. I went down 35 pounds and Alejandro went down 38 pounds. As a couple we went down 73lbs! I love my husband; he looks very handsome and now we are closer than ever. We're like when we were boyfriends. Shaty looks very nice and sexy. Thanks to Yes You Can! And to Alejandro Chaban for being our maximum motivator, transforming our lives and teaching us the best heritage for our children, healthy eating and a united family.
