My name is Karina Cruz, I am 39 years old, I am Mexican, I live in Washington and I am a Mother of 4 children. For 8 years I was a victim of domestic violence, it was in a living hell. I would get humiliated, I would get called a cow and a whale. I would look for comfort from the abuse in food. I got up to 205 pounds and a size 2XL. One day, I ended up in the hospital with broken bones and broken self-esteem after a beating. That day as I laid on a stretcher I had an awakening, I knew that I had to LOVE and CARE for myself. Thanks to my angel Alejandro Chaban I accepted that I had a problem with my self-esteem and obesity. I decided to start Yes You Can! After 12 months I have dropped 65 pounds! And I'm a size Small. I want to celebrate my Success Story and inspire other women to recover their health, their safety and to say YES YOU CAN
