His wedding dress didn't fit

My name is Celia Hilario, I am Dominican and live in New York. After many years of civil marriage, my husband offered to fulfill my dream of getting married in a church. Very excited, I started the preparations. I chose my dress and it was the one I dreamed of and it looked perfect. All that was left was to wait for the big day to wear it. I felt so anxious during the countdown to the wedding that all I did was eat and eat. I got to weigh 175 pounds and be an extra-large size. The day arrived, and it was a nightmare! My dress didn’t fit! I didn’t have anything to wear and I would probably have to cancel my wedding. Everyone tried to help me close the dress. They squeezed my dress together with clothespins and covered all my fat with a white blazer that someone lent me. That day went on to be the saddest one yet because I was overweight. I only have a couple of photos, which a relative took in an oversight, but I didn’t want to pose because I didn’t feel like the bride I wanted to be. I kept that dress for years because I had the hope that one day I would wear it to fulfill my dream of looking beautiful dressed as a bride. Thanks to an angel called Alejandro Chabán, I found out about Yes You Can!. Today, I’ve lost 43 pounds and I can finally look like a beautiful bride thanks to Yes You Can!
