Chicken With Chile Ancho Sauce

  • 2 cups of water
  • 3 chiles anchos, without veins and seeds
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1/2 onion, cut in quarters
  • 1/2 tbsp salt
  • Olive oil
  • 2 boiled chicken breasts


  1. Boil the water in a deep pan.
  2. Add the chiles anchos, garlic and onion and cook on medium heat for 7 minutes.
  3. Blend everything in a blender to make a sauce.
  4. Pour the sauce on a sauté pan, add the salt, cover and cook until boiling.
  5. Add a little of olive oil and mix it with sauce.
  6. Add chicken breasts to the sauce, cover, and cook for 20 minutes.
  7. Serve and enjoy!
